Description
Full Throttle Comedy is one of the country's highest reviewed stand up showcases, and is now coming to the stage at the San Jose Improv. Originally a fixture in the New York City comedy scene, this show has been selling out venues throughout Southern California for over three years. Each Full Throttle Comedy show features today's top comics from HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime and more, and is hosted by national touring college favorite, Michael Quu of MTV and Spike TV.Born in Oakland, Sammy Obeid is a Lebanese-American nationally-touring comedian whose style has been described as "refreshingly intelligent," "hopeful and inspiring," and "a youthful perspective that reaches all ages". He recently placed in the top three of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition among veteran comedians of fifteen years or more, and is currently the youngest member of the national touring troupe, CoExist Comedy. He also has the distinction of being the first comedian ever to appear on the Food Network telling jokes.
