Description

Each month you can join Exploratorium scientist Ron Hipschman for colorful explorations into the physical world at our Full Spectrum Science program series. On Saturday, October 20, 2012, from 1 to 2 pm come learn all about lasers at Full Spectrum Science: Lasers – The Light Fantastic. In 1960 the laser was known as “a solution looking for a problem.” Now we can hardly imagine life without them. Find out what’s special about laser light, how it’s made and how it’s used in everything from DVD players to eye surgery to fusion energy research. Full Spectrum Science is a dynamic monthly series utilizing hands-on activities, film screenings and demonstrations to explain natural phenomenon. It is included with museum admission, but space is limited, so arrive early to be assured a seat. Appropriate for ages 6 years and older.
