Description

Cinema Supper Club: From the Golden Gate to the Silver Screen continues this week at the Legion of Honor with a screening of What’s Up, Doc? (1972). On Thursday evenings at the Legion through August 21, enjoy after-hours access to the special exhibition, Women Impressionists: Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, Eva Gonzalès, Marie Bracquemond, bistro favorites and drinks in the Legion Café, and a film in the historic Florence Gould Theater. The summer series, entitled “From the Golden Gate to the Silver Screen,” features movies filmed in the City by the Bay. On July 24, visitors can enjoy a screening of Peter Bogdanovich’s What’s Up, Doc?. In this comedy, mixed-up suitcases add to the screwball zaniness when a trouble-prone college dropout (Barbara Streisand) pursues a musicologist (Ryan O’Neal) at a San Francisco hotel. The feature film at Cinema Supper Club on July 31 will be So I Married an Ace Murderer (1993, 93 minutes).
