Description

The summer series of Cinema Supper Club at the Legion of Honor continues with a special screening of The Conversation directed by Francis Ford Cappola. The film follows a surveillance expert (Gene Hackman) who overhears a conversation in Union Square and finds himself on the wrong end of technological paranoia.

The new series of Cinema Supper Club, entitled From the Golden Gate to the Silver Screen, presents movies filmed in the City by the Bay. The Thursday-evening programs (July 10–August 21) feature dinner in the Legion Café, after-hours access to the special exhibition, Women Impressionists: Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, Eva Gonzalès, Marie Bracquemond, and films in the Florence Gould Theater. The feature film on July 24 will be What’s Up, Doc (1972, 90 minutes).

Film begins at 8 pm; exhibition open until 9 pm. Tickets are $20 ($10 members) for the movie and special exhibition. For the special exhibition only, admission is $15 (members are free).
