Description
Local historian and author Rebecca Schall will give an eye-opening, short presentation on the remarkable history of the Presidio, followed by a panel discussion of longtime residents, a park ranger, former army vets of the Presidio, and individuals who grew up at the military base in the 1960’s.Although the Presidio is known today as a vibrant neighborhood and National Park with unmatched natural resources and beauty, its history spans more than three centuries and tells a special angle of American history.
Lecturer Rebecca Schall is author to Historic Photos of the Presidio, Historic Photos of San Francisco, and Historic Photos of Paris.
Admission is free to SFMHS members, partner organizations and residents of the Presidio. A $5 donation for non-members/residents is requested.
Guests and residents are encouraged and welcome to dress in costumes related to the Presidio’s great history.
