ANA SIA’s DJ crate is a ticker for the hottest sounds of tomorrow. One of the west coast’s most celebrated DJs, this SF Bay Area-based tastemaker is known for not only energizing the dance floor, but consistently breaking new sounds from all over the world. Having championed some of the most beloved music festivals in the US, Canada and abroad, Ana Sia has gone from rocking house parties to stadiums by stylistically staying two steps ahead of the game. From huge festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival and others, and an array of clubs and venues spanning every major city, countless college towns and hot spots everywhere, Ana Sia has built a community just as fun, wild and eclectic as her style. She has shared the stage with a growing list of artists ranging all styles of electronic dance music, from Diplo to Deadmau5, Datsik to Daedelus...and everybody in between.

Ana Sia jumped off 2012 on NYE in Queenstown, New Zealand, as she continues her conquering of sound systems across the globe. Shortly before, she unleashed her first full length contribution, a well-regarded compilation and DJ-mix titled ‘Surreal Estate’ on Frite Nite, her quickly-rising Cali-based label and crew. A testament to her forward-thinking style, ‘Surreal Estate’ was featured in music publications such as Resident Advisor, Pitchfork, XLR8R, Sonic Router and more, touted as leading the way with the brightest production minds in North American dance music. Coupled with her growing production catalog and high-profile collaborations underway, Ana Sia looks to make her mark on recorded music as well as the stage. In the meantime, she’ll keep crowds enticed -- keeping speakers pumping with big bass-driven, intelligent and sexy music...deep enough for the cabaret and filthy enough for the festival stage.

GRENIER - (DJG)Tectonic, Photek Productions, Frite Nite, GetDarker, Wheel&Deal
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dean J. Grenier, A.K.A DJG, landed in the Bay Area underground dance music scene 2006 with his first 12" "Shadow Skanking" b/w "Joyful Sound" on Narco.Hz, two slices of lithe, slick dubstep. Immediate airplay for "Joyful Sound" on Rinse FM and drops in the clubs from prominent DJs like N-Type quickly propelled DJG to the forefront of American bass music producers early on in his career.

DJG's production style is rich and welcoming, sometimes visceral but never anything less than evocative. Now considered a veteran of the American scene, Grenier self-released the two-disc Voids collection in 2010, revealing not only a clever grasp of dubstep and dnb but ambient soundscapes, and since then he’s released on labels like Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood imprint, Headhunter’s Transistor, Frite Nite, Pushing Red and Wheel & Deal Records. DJG's recent productions see him moving in a more experimental direction, dropping the tempo to as low as 125BPM while playing around with rhythmic structures that hint at soulful house, garage, and other weird shapes, all imbued with the warm melodic embrace he’s always kept hidden beneath the beats. With forthcoming releases on Tectonic, Photek Productions, Get Darker and Frite Nite (with LA’s Salva), 2012 looks to be a banner year for Grenier, as he continues work on his debut album.

B BRAVØ - Frite Nite
B. Bravo adds a touch of love to every funked-out late night synth groove he gets his hands on. Hailing from California under the influence of west coast GFunk, Roy Ayers and Herbie Hancock, he’s pioneering a new sound in electronic music connecting interstellar funk and R’n'B with contemporary dance, hip hop and ‘bass’ music.

As a founding member of the Frite Nite label/crew based in San Francisco, he is also a driving force in the emerging worldwide Modern Funk Movement. Bravo’s massive tune ‘Computa Love’ gained international acclaim as one of London tastemaker Benji B’s ‘best of 2009′ selections for his BBC 1xtra radio program, and as the lead track and 12″ from Gilles Peterson’s 2010 Brownswood Electr*c compilation. Red Bull Music Academy hand picked Bravo as a participant to attend their coveted program in London for 2010 and continue to support him as celebrated alumni.

As a DJ and live performer, complete with synths, vocoder and talkbox, Bravo has shared the stage with artists like Chromeo, Dam-Funk, Flying Lotus and in 2011 serenaded crowds across the world with his bass heavy outerspace boogie and dirty grinding synth grooves at festivals like SXSW, Detroit Electronic Music Festival, and Sonar in Barcelona.

►CØMMA - Frite Nite
Drawing inspiration from urban decay, graffiti and tales of post-apocalyptic societies, Comma has always aimed to make visceral music that connects with the listener – despite its modes of production. As the world continues to slip towards the sort of dystopian futures we grew up fearing, Comma’s music acts as a soundtrack for mankind’s perilous road ahead, sketching out grainy visions of the future. This is only reinforced by his recent work which strips down his calling card melodies and textures to their rawest forms in a direct nod to the omnipresent rhythmic colourings of trap and the weirder spectrum of rap productions that are being embraced in 2012.

BØGL - Soundpieces
BOGL is a bit of an anomaly. No matter what city you are in he might just be at the same party, right next to you. He states SF as his home base, but I'm pretty sure the BOGL spaceship is from parts unknown. After his sets last year, people were raving, literally! It was even likened to drunken Kung Fu, the way he bobbled around behind the decks seamlessly mixing the strangest tunes for what was to become some of the most diverse sets. BOGL is a guy that can't be pigeonholed. His sets and production always surprise and his sound is on the constant evolve tip. Don't try and understand this man, just show up with open ears, ready to hear something fresh!
