Description
The UndojoFree Tai Chi and Martial Arts Class!
I’ve taught classes in traditional dojos and I even owned one for a while. I’ve worked with aids and cancer patients on mind/body issues. I’ve taught Tai Chi to high risk kids and in elementary schools. I’ve led self defense seminars for groups from 2 to 200. And now I want to teach for free so meet me in San Francisco most every Sunday this summer.
In my opinion this is the way martial arts and spiritual studies should be taught, free and casual. We’ll do some Tai Chi, a little yoga and stretching, some guided meditations, maybe a little Aikido, a bit of self defense or personal fitness. I’ll cover whatever interests you.
The classes are held in Dorothy Erskine park. You can find it at the top of Baden St or Martha Ave in Glen Park. (Or you can use Google Maps cause I bet you’ve never been there.) It’s only a couple of blocks from Glen Park Bart and has a little street parking on both sides. Just climb the hill and find the big tattooed guy at the top. (He’s not as scary as he looks!) The views are great but it can be a little windy!
Classes start at 11:00 am. Wear comfy clothes and bring your own water cause this park has NO services. No need to register or commit. No need to come every time or for the first class. Just come by whenever you want. Everyone is welcome but please, no unattended children and no belligerent attitudes.
There are classes on the following dates WEATHER PERMITTING:
Every Sunday through March, starting January 22, 2012
