Foreign Cinema invites wine enthusiasts to welcome Claypool Cellars and Les Claypool, the lead vocalist and bassist for the alternative rock band Primus, for a special dinner taking place on Thursday, August 23, 2012. Guests may enjoy an exceptional 5-course tasting menu prepared by Chef/Owners Gayle Pirie and John Clark.For this festive evening, Claypool joins Foreign Cinema’s New Wine Director Shannon Tucker to take guests through a food and wine journey as they pair the flavors of Foreign Cinema’s seasonal, California-Mediterranean cuisine with select wines from Claypool Cellars.
The event will take place in Foreign Cinema’s Modernism West, a gallery in partnership with acclaimed art dealer Martin Muller of Modernism Inc. A screening of Dr. Strangelove, which is Les Claypool’s favorite movie, will be in full swing starting at dusk. Les will also be signing bottles of wine that may be purchased through Claypool Cellars.
