Presented for two nights only, Electroacoustica, the second annual Foothill College Electronic Music Festival features an impressive lineup of experimental electronic composers who will perform original works of diverse concert programs April 1–2 at 8 p.m. in the Lohman Theatre at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills. Tickets ($5–$10) are available for purchase online; parking is $3.• Concert One on Friday, April 1, features John Bischoff on custom analog electronics, Kyle Bruckman on oboe with electronic processing, and the premiere of a new ensemble composition by MaryClare Brzytwa featuring David Tanenbaum and Taurin Barrera. • Concert Two on Saturday, April 2, features the tape music of Charles Amirkhanian, Thomas Dimuzio on the Buchla 200e modular synthesizer, and the premiere of a new composition by Eric Kuehnl for voice and electronics featuring Milissa Carey. The concert was founded by Foothill College Music Technology Instructor Eric Kuehnl, MFA. A composer, sound designer and educator, Kuehnl was previously an audio training strategist in the Avid education department and a senior house engineer for Sony Computer Entertainment America. He holds a master's degree from California Institute of the Arts, bachelor's degree from Oberlin Conservatory, and studied composition at the Centre Iannis Xenakis in Paris.
Parking Lots 1 and 8 provide the best access to the theatre. Purchase permit for $3 at dispensers in any student lot. Dispensers accept credit/debit cards and cash.
