Sable Sound is proud to present the 3rd installment of its residency in Oakland. We are ecstatic to start 2012 with the beginning of the diverse range of musicians to be showcased over the course of the coming months: Justin Peoples, Tomas Klien, William Wardlaw and Jake Stock.

Jake Stock

Part of the excitement for Sable in this series is the opportunity to introduce audiences to new talent, and vice versa. A native of San Jose, Jake has only been mixing for 6 months, but already plays a catalouge of deep, groovy beats that are sure to get a dancefloor's crowd moving. After discovering an interest in house via Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz albums, Jake's set promises soulful, funky vibes.

William Wardlaw (ExYo/Zughaus/AYLI)

William DJs at a wide-range of venues around the Bay Area. He is the new resident at the monthly ExYo happy hour at WISH in San Francisco, and has played eclectic sets as the resident at Zughaus Gallery in Berkeley for over two years. He also helps throw events with the renowned As You Like It crew. Depending on the event, you'll hear deep house, melodic techno, or Ninja Tune downtempo. When asked for comment, he obliquely replied, "I like to make party."

Tomas Klien

Tomas’ childhood consisted of frequent travel between a town on the outskirts of Munich, Germany, and San Francisco. The consequences of growing up in such bilateral environments included exposure to a breadth of music genres, ranging from Bay Area ‘Hyphy’ to the underground warehouse techno German cities are so well known for. His DJ sets are known to blend these elements, amongst many others into a unique vibe that can rarely be given a name, but will be sure to perpetually feed your curiosity.

Justin Peoples

Producing since 2004, Justin Peoples has followed his ear for progressive techno from Southern California, around the bay, and to his founding of Club-a-Club Recordings in 2010. Now a resident of Oakland and practicing a more refined sound than ever, Mr. Peoples is excited to bring his unrequited class and exquisite taste in deep minimal beats to Lounge 3411 for lovely Sable Sound.
