The philosophy of Sogetsu Ikebana is that a flower arrangement can be created anytime, anywhere, by anyone, with any kind of material. Sogetsu Ikebana is the most comtemporary of all Ikebana schools, and it is the third largest one worldwide. Martina Roethig is a Sogestsu Ikebana Artist. Martina is a holder of the prestigious Second Sanyo Teacher's diploma and currently works towards her fourth teacher's diploma. She exhibits frequently in the South Bay and San Francisco.
