Description

Every year we pay tribute to musicians who've passed away. We celebrate and remember them as well their work by playing their music for the people.


This year we've lost someone very special, Isaac Hayes.
One of the most sampled soul artists of our time. Issac Hayes was a true soul music pioneer but his music carried on from generation to generation and eventually influenced a lot of todays hip hop music. Artists such as Redman, Public Enemy, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, LL Cool J and so many more have sampled his music.


From hits such as Ike's Mood, Hung Up On My Baby, Joy, The Look of Love and countless others, Isaac Hayes along with James Brown were probably most influential artists that gave hip hop music that soul.


With that said, join us this Saturday at Flava of The Month, as we pay homage and praise to those who came before us and left us with their gift of music.
