Description

As the name states, FishinKitchen is a blend of two of my biggest passions. With this experience, you will learn methods for fishing in the Bay Area followed by a cooking class with the local catch!

Being in a region that is rich with sea life to catch and harvest offers the opportunity to bring sustainable practices to your fingertips. As the saying goes, “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.” Unfortunately, many are intimidated by seafood preparation and a whole fish or crab would just be looking back at you from the fridge until it is eventually thrown away. Simply learning a few techniques in a hands-on setting to build the confidence that you can catch your dinner and cook it too.

So join me on this journey - learn to feed yourself for a lifetime!

9am - 8hours - $125.

About Geoffrey
With over 20 years under his apron, Geoffrey owes much of his culinary awareness to the ocean and mountains that surrounded him as a native of McKinleyville, California. This was fostered early on with his parent’s garden, fishing in the creek behind the house and having full reign to play in the kitchen.

Formal French training at Le Cordon Bleu Scottsdale, a focus on Japanese omakase style for 10yrs, and relocated to the Bay Area to help open a Scandinavian restaurant. After some time traveling looked at options to create a new experience to share with the curious at heart, FishinKitchen.
