Description
Park and Pond, Grant Avenue’s gem for all things locally-made, will showcase the work of Northern California Native, Leilani Joy, for North Beach’s First Friday event on April, 4th, 2014, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.Leilani Joy, a graduate from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and influenced by the work of Erte, Alphonse Mucha, David Downton, and Camilla d’Errico, will showcase five original pieces at Park and Pond’s First Friday event. Earlier this year she was a featured artist at Disney’s Wonderground Gallery at Anaheim’s Downtown Disney, and her two pieces, ‘Alice Wore Blue’ and ‘The Queen Wore Red’ from that show will also be at Park and Pond. Along with the five original pieces, Park and Pond will also have canvas, framed and unframed prints available for purchase.
In addition to Leilani Joy’s pieces, Park and Pond will be serving wine and snacks and discounting all artwork at 10% off for First Friday attendees. Alongside the “wide-eyed and long-necked ladies” of Leilani Joy’s work are creations by notable artists, Jeremy Fish, Eric Joyner, Hilary Williams and 3 Fish Studios, among an array of other locally made designs and handiworks by Bay Area artisans.
