The Montalvo Arts Center presents composer George Tsontakis as part of the next installment of its popular Final Fridays series. Held in the Historic Villa, George Tsontakis discusses the new collaborative work he is working on in response to "Going Forth By Day," a video work by Bill Viola, supported by a commission from Chamber Music Monterey Bay. Since he began his composing career, Tsontakis has been the recipient of two major prizes: the international 2005 Grawemeyer Award and the 2007 Charles Ives Living award. Free admission.
