Pacific Art League of Palo Alto (PAL) will host two new exhibitions, August 2-29, 2013.. “Figures and Faces,” a juried exhibition of forty photographs, paintings, drawings, etchings, and sculptures by thirty-one California artists will be featured in the Main Gallery. Juror Ric Ambrose, a noted artist, Executive Director of the Richmond Art Center and former Executive Director of the Pacific Art League, selected the exhibited work from 198 entries.“Abstractions and Realities,” a contrasting exhibition of bold abstract paintings by award-winning journalist and editor, Pacific Art League member and Palo Alto resident Diana Diamond and intricately etched leaf arrangements by her husband, artist Booker Morey, will be featured in the Glass Gallery, also located at 227 Forest Avenue.
Pacific Art League’s First Friday, the monthly new exhibition opening reception, will be held on August 2, 2013, from 5:30-8:00pm at the Pacific Art League. Juror Ric Ambrose will comment upon his selections and present the first, second, and third place prizes and three honorable mention awards. Refreshments will be served.
Gallery hours are 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
