Experience the excitement of innovative collaboration and hand crafted art at our annual Fall Open House -- an extraordinary celebration of both art and community in our 56,000 square-foot industrial arts studio in West Oakland.Featuring an expo of community organizations that bring vital and important services to our diverse neighborhood, and an art show highlighting the talents of our students, it’s a wonderful way to experience all that is good about West Oakland. This is a family-friendly event with amazing performances by local talent, food and fun for all ages—and it’s FREE!
Enjoy beautiful glass creations, works of art in wood, metal and ceramics, sculptures that light up or move, and much more as you stroll through an art show featuring works by Crucible students of all ages. Watch live demonstrations of skills taught at The Crucible and learn about classes where anyone can learn to make art of their own.
