Fabled Asp (Fabulous/Activist Bay Area Lesbians with Disabilities) is a multi-cultural, multi-racial, multi-media project run by four generations of disabled lesbian activists. Our mission is to collect, document, archive and celebrate the history of the S.F. Bay Area disabled lesbian community and movement from 1970 to the present. Our further mission is to empower disabled lesbians across a wide age span to express stories, circumstances, challenges, accomplishments and lessons of the movement. This project will preserve the heritage, history and legacy of disabled lesbians for present and future generations—locally, nationally and internationally.
