About
Empty Gate Zen Center offers training in Zen meditation through meditation instruction, morning and evening practice, public talks, teaching interviews, sittings, retreats and workshops. Programs are open to anyone regardless of previous experience. Empty Gate was founded in 1977 and is part of the Kwan Um School of Zen. The Kwan Um School of Zen is the international organization of Zen centers and groups in Europe, Russia, Africa, Asia, Australia, and America founded under the direction of Zen Master Seung Sahn.
