Join us for the 8th Annual Greek Food Faire, May 16, 17 and 18, in downtown Santa Cruz!. This three-day event features a huge array of authentic and healthy Greek food and desserts, including crowd pleasers like moussaka, spanakopita, and grilled marinated lamb souvlaki with locally grown vegetable side dishes (when available). Delicious handmade pastry or glykka (sweets) include classics like baklava and kataifi (a shredded wheat pastry saturated with honey and spices). New this year we are serving Greek yogurt parfait (Greek yogurt, organic blueberries, walnuts and local honey), Greek cannoli, (puff pastry and Greek cheese custard), baklava cheesecake and revani (a lemon honey cake) topped with organic fruit. In addition, Gluten Free paximadia and moustokouloura are available. At the Kafeneio (coffee shop), authentic hand-whipped Greek frappes will be available, made just like the cafes in Greece. Or, quench your thirst at the Taverna (bar), where, new this year we are pouring white and red premium Greek wines, traditional Greek spirits, as well as American beer and wine. Entertainment includes live Greek music. Kids are welcome! Find us at the corner of Church and Center Street in Downtown Santa Cruz.
