California is no stranger to earthquakes. This year, The Home Depot is working with FEMA to educate consumers about earthquake preparedness for their home or business in select stores across California. The events will include a full instructional Earthquake and Wildfire Preparedness Workshop for adults, as well as a Fire Safety Kids Workshop.Not only will attendees learn useful tactics, they will also receive hands-on instruction on bolting their home to its foundation, bracing a water heater and anchoring TVs and monitors. The Workshops will cover basic preparedness activities, and offer activities that teach attendees how to start taking action in their homes and offices immediately.
