Description
Don Quixote's is proud to host "Earth Groove" a dance party in celebration of Earth Day benefiting Save Our Shores. This year's bands are Serendipity Project, Funkranomicon, and Take 1.Serendipity Project sticks to a new breed of hip-hop that promotes conscious thought through positive vibes. They have performed with KRS One and Radioactive, and have played at several major festivals, such as the Harmony Festival, the Missoula Hempfest and the Olympia Hempfest.
Coming from the nearby Santa Cruz mountains is Funkranomicon, who has achieved local fame for its unique brand of high energy funk and soul tunes. The group has recently performed on the main stage at the San Jose Jazz festival, opening for the Ohio Players.
Rounding the night's show is Take 1, who rose from the ashes of the popular local Santa Cruz reggae band DubScene. The band sticks to danceable old school roots reggae and upbeat ska tunes with the occasional punk rock flourish thrown in for good measure.
