Dream House's songs are reminiscent of that bygone acoustic singer-songwriter era where folk troubadours played for spare change in obscure cafes—you know, the 90s. In other words, it's good old-fashioned coffee shop music, a blend of cleverly cerebral word-jumbles and heart on the sleeve emotional honesty. It's all stirred together evenly like clanging spoons mixing cream and sugar in coffee. Dream House's set is offset with a couple of easy-listening, smooth pop anthems.
