BEAUTIFUL SWIMMERS (DJ - Future Times, DC)You know when you scoop a record at some flea because the art looks tight, but it turns out that the shit is wack except for some little beautiful chunk? Yea you do. They rescued the good parts from many terrible records that otherwise just would've collected bad vibes on their floors. These guys are trying to bring back something like early Daniel Wang but mix it with heavy boogie visions (''Swimmers Groove'') and all these psuedo-African slow cuts from the 90s everyone loves like ‘Oh Yea.’
These guys have played with Theo Parrish, Dam Funk, Steve Arrington, and Lovefingers, to name a few. They played an amazing set to a crowded dancefloor at Donuts/No Way Back/As You Like It with Mike Huckaby & Steffi at Public Works in August 2011.
Their love of disco, house and all electronic music encouraged them to also start a record label—FUTURE TIMES. The label was featured in the Fader & Juno Top 10 of 2011, and also featured as Resident Advisor’s Label of the Month.
