DOCUMENTARY ABOUT LOCAL SINGER-SONGWRITER TO PREMIERE

The new documentary film "BOBBY JO: JOURNEY OF A SINGER-SONGWRITER" will premiere on closing night at the Wine Country Film Festival in Kenwood. The September 22 film premiere will also include a Q & A with director Ron Rogers and Sonoma County singer-songwriter and film subject Bobby Jo Valentine and a live performance on the main stage by Mr. Valentine.

The 22 minute film, recently chosen as an official selection at the Wine Country Film Festival, tells the compelling story of the journey of a unique Sonoma county artist:

Young Petaluma singer-songwriter Bobby Jo Valentine is at a crossroads. Having broken away from a conservative
Baptist upbringing, found his birth mother, come out as gay, and discovered that he has a unique and powerful
talent for writing and performing music, can he connect with audiences and build a new life as a professional
singer-songwriter? To find out, Bobby sets out on an ambitious five-day, eight concert tour around California.

A ticket to the "BOBBY JO" film on September 22 will also include the showing of the new feature length documentary about legendary blues guitarist Johnny Winter, "JOHNNY WINTER: DOWN AND DIRTY" and a live performance by John Burdick's blues tribute to Johnny Winter.
