This event on February 28 aims to raise awareness about the mission of Black Girls Code – and other new organizations – that address the shortage of women and minorities in the technology field and to catalyze a network supporters, who are committed to partnering with small businesses and non-profit organizations such as Black Girls Code, who are empowering communities and working to close the digital divide.

These are the next generation of entrepreneurs in San Francisco, who will create jobs and stimulate the economy. But in a time when many are struggling to find affordable housing and employment, these marginalized communities are either moving out of the city or learning to persevere without resources.

We need to train, empower and cultivate the next generation of entrepreneurs and work to preserve the city’s diversity by promoting and retaining these innovative leaders. This event will bring thought leaders, social entrepreneurs and leading tech innovators to join the conversation on how to expose the next generation to the opportunities that abound in the technology field.

Join Phil Ting, Kimberly Bryant and the Reset San Francisco community as we celebrate the launch of Black Girls Code and discuss ways to increase diversity in the technology field, to raise awareness about the shortage of women and minorities in technology and to bridge the increasing digital divide.
