Su Pang curator of DISSILIENCE & DISSILIENCE 2 in Los Angeles, is throwing another party for those who love everything out of the box. This time in her hometown of San Francisco. Workspace Limited is a beautiful historic industrial building converted from a vacant shell into a new 37,000 sq-ft arts facility in the Mission District.

Our artshow focuses on the process of uninhibited art, distinct materials, the empowerment of women in the creative industry and the diversity of our coterie. There will be an eclectic group of 12 Women Mixed-Media Artists, each hand-picked to compliment one another. Works take form through Paintings, Photography, Sculpture, Mixed-Media, Film, Performance and Music. In addition, we will be featuring 6 short films by women film-makers. We will be giving away Nara Denning's new DVD "Under the Pavement" - Experimental Works!

This May 2012 show combines fragments of the two past shows, in terms of Music & Performers. The evening will include two bands from Los Angeles, LONELY TREES (Dutch Pop/Indie) and ODD MODERN (Electro/Indie). LIZ BOUBION, a San Francisco modern dancer, will be performing sets with AFIA WALKING TREE, M.Ed, a world-class percussionist, and DIANA LARA is a choreographer/dancer from Honduras. Our resident Deejay is DEEJAY MOXY MARTINEZ from Columbus, Ohio. This emerging electronic music producer, remixer, and spin artist will be spinning beats throughout DISSILIENCE. Lastly and not least, Jen Arter & Emmie Katz - a local acrobat duo will be showing off extraordinary feats of balance, agility, and motor coordination.....

We will be serving wine & beer. Perhaps you might even be in the mood to buy some ART from the girls!
