Disastroid

Description

No band in their right mind likes to write their own bio. It comes off as derivative, or cheesy, or self-aggrandizing, or sometimes just incoherent. Usually all those things, and comes with a photo of three guys standing in front of a brick wall (one of whom is looking away from the camera.)

But you gotta write it because people are going to give you five seconds and they want to know if your sound is going to peel the paint off their walls, whether it's good music to make out with their girlfriend to, whether it's going to make their baby smarter just from listening to it in their crib, whether it will be the next big thing with the kids and sell a bazillion copies. And to all these questions I say simply: yes. Disastroid will do this for you.

Ok. People want genres and people want reference points, so here you go: Our singer/guitarist likes to call it "stoner rock for people with ADD." I think of it as part Melvins, part Minutemen, part Queens of the Stone Age. One of these days we'll ask the drummer what he thinks. Just remember, we want you to listen to it really, really loud.

An earlier incarnation of Disastroid released an EP in 2007; in our current three-piece lineup, we self-released a new album, "Life or Death", in October of 2009, and now we're just generally kicking ass around the Bay Area scene. But don't take our word for it:
