A lively and interactive discussion with Monterey Museum of Art Executive Director Charlotte Eyerman and historian and author Ted Wells.Executive Director Charlotte Eyerman, Ph.D. joined the Museum in October 2013. Previous positions include Director of the French Regional American Museum Exchange in North America; Director, Gagosian Gallery, Beverly Hills; and curatorial positions at the Saint Louis Art Museum and the J. Paul Getty Museum. She has lived and worked in France, Italy, and Germany and has lectured, curated, and published extensively on 19th- 21st century art and culture.
Ted Wells has curated museum exhibitions on numerous subjects and held lecturing posts in the U.S. and internationally. He is the host of Guardian Stewardship Editions podcasts: Simple Rediscovery, The Middle Edges, Living Simple Arts & Architecture, A Quiet Style, and Tyrannosaurus Wrecks. He is the author of Casting Shadows: Auguste Rodin (2013). His most recent publication is Bohemian Crossroads: Art & Culture Collide Then Subside On the Monterey Peninsula (2014). Published by Guardian Stewardship Editions, the book features essays by Ted Wells and Tavernier exhibition curator Scott A. Shields, Ph.D. and is available in the Museum Store.
