Berkeley’s Dharma College presents the final talk in its free summer lectures series to introduce its school, curriculum and vision to the Bay Area community. The informal talks are designed to introduce fresh and life-changing ways to understand the nature of one’s mind. The talks aim to encourage individuals to explore and develop their inner resources and to awaken new and transformative understanding. An informal reception with selected faculty follows the presentation.• On Saturday, August 18, instructor Jack Petranker will speak about the complex, but often amusing relationship between language and mind in a talk entitled “I, Me and Mine Walked Into a Bar . . .and Other Funny Stories About Language and Self.”
Other summer offerings include an exhibit: The Sacred Art of Tibet, Art of the Buddha’s Teachings on July 14, 28; August 11, 25 and September 8, 2012. Dharma College’s Fall Courses begin on October 3 and continue through November 10, 2012.
