Description
Artist Tom Vadakan (TV1) makes a return to the Bay Area with a solo show at Ooma in San Francisco. It will be his first show in the area in more than 3 years. Vadakan's subjects have always been people, and this time around, with a show titled "DESPERADOS," he brings us a cast of characters, the outcast, losers, sinners, faithful, the broken, those healing, seeking salvation, in desperation....... Sometimes these characters are presented in clean outlines with limited colors, while other times they are captured by rough brushstrokes, with an array of colors and layered with antique decoupage coating. Like the show title, Vadakan doesn't quite fit or belong to any of the current art cliques, but steadily continues to move us with his uniquely captivating works."Desperados" opens at Ooma on Dec. 13 at 7 PM. Called "North Beach's hottest style hub" in San Francisco Magazine’s It List.
