Derek, Joel, Kenny

So this month marks the first year anniversary since i've been at Mars Bar, and I'm celebrating by bringing a bunch of great local DJs to play for you and me.....

First up is my friend Derek Bobus of the amazing Sunday weekly HONEY SOUNDSYSTEM (recognized internationally as one of the best gay disco/house/tech nights around). Derek can play anything, and the last time he rocked with me, the music was all over in terms of styles, yet smooth in transitions. I'm VERY excited to have him back.

Next is another friend, Joel Conway aka LEO J from Black Pancakes Records. This guys also has a great grip on good tunes, and the places to put them. He has hand-picked for me, some of my favorite records in recent times. The guy knows what I like, and Manny, the owner of BPR, should thank him, as I buy nearly everything he says I'll like... cuz I do! Joel has been playing everywhere lately, and that's why.

Lastly, my brother, Kenny Parmalee is gonna help us out. Expect a wide range as well. Kenny is a lesser known local DJ, but his track selection is superb. Lots of indie rock edits, and nu-disco gems from this guy. Kenny plays some of the best sets at our private annual boat party, LDP every year. This guy should play out here more.... (hear that Kenny? :)

So please come out for what will be a killer night. FREE admission, with drink specials ($2 Tecates/$5 Pura Vida shots/margaritas), and great food (the steak salad is KILLER!), $2 tacos included....
