The pianism of Deno Gianopoulos has matured into what some call the most beautiful piano playing heard in the United States today. He is based in Berkeley and taught piano at UC Berkeley for over 34 years. He began piano lessons at a early age, and by his teenage years was winning piano competitions and piano prizes, performing concerti with numerous symphony orchestras. He has performed in recital throughout the United States and Europe, in chamber ensembles, with symphony orchestras, and was the piano soloist at the inauguration of the Mid-Summer Mozart concerts in California.
