Germany’s Deniz Koyu comes to Vessel on Friday September 28th. One of house music’s most prominent rising stars of the past 18 months. He comes here in fine pedigree. With Sebastian Ingrosso calling him "big time talent", and Axwell replied to the question of a Swedish journalist if he had personal favourites among young DJs: "Deniz Koyu. He makes damn cool music at the moment." Fedde le Grand went even further proclaiming him his ‘Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2011.
Deniz's single releases "Tung" and "Hertz" on Flamingo Recordings and his remixes for James Blunt's "Dangerous" and Kaskade's "Turn It Down" evolved into huge house anthems at clubs and festivals around the globe, being played over and over by Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia, Fedde Le Grand, Avicii, Alesso, Erick Morillo, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, you name it.
This year MTV added Deniz to their "EDM Rookies To Watch" list, calling him "a blazing new talent" and putting him in good company with Alesso, Zedd, R3hab and Nicky Romero. Deniz was hand-picked by Axwell to play at the world premiere of Cosmic Opera in New York, performed at Ultra Music Festival Miami on the peak of his North America headline tour and got confirmed for his first-ever Sensation White appearances - the legendary European arena show that pulls in numbers upwards of 20,000 people per show.
Tonight he joins us in the intimate settings of 85 Campton Place, down those stairs, in that booth, over that infamous Funktion One Soundsystem, that Vessel has grown so famous for. Joining Deniz, is the Ultra Record’s Ron Reeser, himself a headliner here in his own rite, to complete one of the most up front house music line ups to hit Vessel this year.
