Democratic Socialists believe that both the political and economic areas of life should be run democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is a political and activist organization, not a party; through campus and community-based chapters, DSA members use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for reforms that empower working people.Are you interested in learning more about democratic socialism and DSA?
If you have never attended our DSA meetings, or if you've come only 1 or 2 times, you are invited to attend our Newcomers Reception! Of course regular attendees are also welcome. Come meet new people, learn about the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and enjoy some snacks. We will follow our presentation with a question and answer period. We look forward to meeting you there!
