In the last few decades, hip-hop music has provided the soundtrack to the life and mindset of urban youth. Take any given period in the last thirty years, listen to what hip-hop was saying, and you will catch a glimpse of the social climate of that time. DEFINITION will be a series of parties dedicated to hip-hop music and the various artists and movements that have contributed to the evolution of hip-hop music. This is GET LIVE’s way of paying homage and respect to hip-hop music and it’s impact on our culture.The first installment of DEFINITION will be dedicated to two musical empires that ruled the opposite coasts in the nineties: BAD BOY and DEATH ROW. These two conglomerates took center stage when tensions fueled a West Coast/East Coast beef, providing a historical turning point for hip-hop.
