Description
The angular, post-punk songs of the short-lived English quartet Joy Division come alive in the hands of Dead Souls, a San Francisco-based tribute to the ill-fated vocalist Ian Curtis and his band. Though Curtis, who was responsible for much of the creative force behind the group, committed suicide in 1980, it was not before Joy Division had established itself as a new driving force in popular music, thanks in no small part to a burgeoning interest in what would later be called alternative rock.
