Description
The De Anza College “Daddios” jazz ensembles and De Anza’s two vocal jazz ensembles, Vocal Flight and the Studio Singers, will present an evening of Big Band and Vocal Jazz. The music of Michael Brecker, Kurt Elling, Tom Kubis, Gordon Goodwin, Pat Metheny, Sammy Nestico, Horace Silver, and others will be featured.Both the Six O’Clock and Eight O’Clock “Daddios” evening jazz bands, directed by Steve Tyler, will perform along with De Anza’s two first-rate vocal jazz ensembles, directed by Michelle Hawkins. Also making a special guest appearance will be the award-winning Miller Middle School Jazz Band from San Jose.
Ticket prices are $10 General, $7 Students and Seniors. No reserved seating. Tickets will be available at the door.
