Day in the Park has become a signature District 8 event, bringing the community together in celebration of our rich and diverse heritage through live entertainment, interactive children's activities and enticing food trucks with a free BBQ. There will also be fun fitness elements fun for all ages!The event will also bring valuable resources to the public with an informational fair where the local community can gain beneficial services offered by more than 70 participating local non-profit, government and community-based organizations. This year's event will also offer a job fair component, featuring local companies and businesses. In addition, Day in the Park is partnering with the Food Allergy Research & Education event Walk for Food Allergy to raise awareness of food allergy issues, so we expect even more people to join in the fun.
