Description
Trumpeter/composer Dave Douglas is perhaps one of the most prolific musicians of the last two decades. He avidly “pushes the envelope” in all kinds of ensembles from acoustic to electric, from small to large. Constantly evolving, he keeps his creativity fresh by initiating new projects – often simultaneously – in collaboration with performers from around the art world. Through jazz, classical, folk, dance, poetry, and multimedia, he explores a mélange of cultural traditions and starkly remolds them into new forms of expression.
