Das Racist is an alternative hiphop group based in Queens, New York City, composed of Heems, Kool A.D., and hypeman Dapwell. Known for their use of humor, academic references, foreign allusions, and unconventional style, Das Racist has been both dismissed as joke rap and hailed as an urgent new voice.

After blowing the fuck up with their 2008's internet sensation "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell" (produced by Le1f), Das Racist then established themselves as credible rappers with 2010's mixtapes Shut Up Dude and Sit Down, Man. In September 2011, they released their first commercial album, Relax, which was named in several year-end "best of" lists, including those of Rolling Stone and Spin, and was also named by Spin as the fourth best rap album of the year.
