Bookshop Santa Cruz hosts author Daniel Handler and illustrator Maira Kalman as they make a stop in Santa Cruz from their book tour to promote their newest collaboration, "Why We Broke Up". The book takes the form of a letter written by the heartbroken Min Green who is about to dump souvenirs from her recent relationship on her ex-boyfriend's porch, going into detail about how each item played a role in their getting together and, ultimately, their breaking up. While the book has only been released for a small amount of time, it has already garnered positive reviews from People magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and the New York Times.
