Please join us for a performance and panel discussion with the Bay-Area based performer, teacher, and choreographer Jetta Martin. Martin holds a B.A. in African and African American Studies and Social Studies from Harvard University and has been performing, teaching, and choreographing in the San Francisco Bay Area for several years. Martin's choreography is influenced by an array of techniques including West African, Afro-Haitian, modern dance, and classical ballet. The content of her work explores myriad themes touching on the reverberating effects of displacement, the creative synergies that close relationships inspire, and the tenacity required to breathe life into a dream.
