Description
Acoustic and electric bassist Dan Robbins is known in the jazz world as a fiery improvisational spirit with a driving backbeat. He is a first-call bassist in the Bay Area and beyond. This class will feature Robbins, along with Eddie Mendenhall on piano and Mike Shannon on drums, interpreting various jazz styles including improvisation, funk, rock, Brazilian, and Afro-Cuban. Acoustic and electric bass, plus a variety of solo bass approaches will be demonstrated and discussed, including the use of loopers and effects. Duet playing will also be featured, plus plenty of time for Q & A with the artists. All levels welcome.More Info
