Cynthia Kenyon, Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics, and Director, Hillblom Center for the Biology of Aging, UCSF.Kenyon will make her case that the rate of aging is subject to genetic control and not just “wear and tear.” Through her groundbreaking research with roundworms, Kenyon discovered that disabling a single gene doubled the lifespan of the worm.
