Description

Learn practical skills in cross-cultural communication at a dynamic free seminar presented by Sedique Popal, an Extension Honored Instructor. With an increase in international student populations, it has become more critical for educators and counselors to reach students in a culturally responsive manner. These students need instructional methods that are comprehensive and transformative, methods that honor their diversity and cultures.

Guest Speaker:
Sedique Popal, Ed.D., Extension Honored Instructor, a teacher and educator since 1980, has taught ESL and EFL in Asia and Europe. He has made presentations to TESOL, CATESOL, NABE and CABE organizations. Popal teaches at the College of Alameda and the University of San Francisco.
