Description
Join CUESA in kicking off the summer harvest (and solstice) in one delicious bite. Star chefs and bartenders focus their palates and talents to create a veritable bounty of delights. Six culinary families make up the gravitational center and pull of the night: berries, cucurbits (cucumbers and melons), grains and legumes, alliums (onion and garlic), leaves and flowers, and of course, stone fruits. All bites and sips will showcase one of these groups using farmers market produce at the peak of its season.Stroll the halls of the iconic Ferry Building while you enjoy unlimited food and drink at the themed tasting areas. And no CUESA event would be complete without the presence of farmers, who will be displaying their bounty and offering farm-fresh tastes. Enjoy live music, a scavenger hunt, the popular “What’s Your Stone Fruit Name?” game, and more.
Proceeds from the night provide much-needed support for CUESA’s ongoing education initiatives, including free cooking demos, kitchen skill-building classes, the Schoolyard to Market youth entrepreneurship program, and sustainability scholarships for farmers.
Tickets are $125, $85 of which is a tax deductible donation.
