The Cuban Cowboys mix indie rock with traditional cuban music. Riding in on waves of mambo riffs, distortion and heavy latin percussion, The Cuban Cowboys turn a Cuban family's dark stories into serious rock cubano. Singing of lessons learned from living life in between two cultures and languages, the band collides the perfect American icon with emigré tension, exile, tenderness and lust. The Cuban Cowboys are where Brooklyn meets Havana.The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival presents over 90 free events including music, theater, circus, dance, poetry and children’s programs with artists from Africa, Colombia, Japan, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Spain, the Philippines, Sweden, China, Venezuela and the Bay Area. Yerba Buena Gardens is located between Mission Street and Howard Street and 3rd and 4th Streets in downtown San Francisco.
