Description
Thanks to popular demand, Regina Taylor's vivacious musical "Crowns" is returning to the Tabard Theater. An adaptation of the Michael Cunningham"s 2000 book Crowns: Portraits of Black Women in Church Hats, Taylor’s Crowns uses the tradition of female church hat fashion as a catalyst for a wildly imaginative and joyous story about coming to terms with yourself--and more importantly, the idea of coming home--with each of the main characters hats' acting as a visual allegory for their lives. The play will feature its celebrated original 2009 cast.
