An accomplished artist, teacher and lecturer, Andy Weber has been teaching people how to draw and paint images of the Buddhas in the Tibetan Thangka style for over 10 years.In this talk, he will explain the symbolism and iconography of the traditional image of the Buddha of Compassion: Cherezig (tibetan) or Avalokitshvara (Sankrit) and the relevance of the imagery to the Chenrezig practice.
Anyone interested in art or Tibetan Buddhist practice will benefit by attending this talk by one of the most renowned Thangka painters of his time and co-author of "Images of Enlightenment"
